Hablamos de una sociedad que tenga sensibilidad frente a casos de personas con discapacidad empezando esta sensibilización desde los centros de detección, médicos, enfermeras, psicólogos, trabajadores sociales, terapeutas físicos, educadores, organizaciones, entre otros, quienes tienen el deber de estar bien informados sobre el tema de discapacidad física y/o sensorial y su rehabilitación y en conjunto apoyar a las familias implementando estrategias y brindar alternativas de mejora con instituciones y organizaciones que brindan servicios de apoyo a los discapacitados y familiares quienes informados y con conocimiento podrán brindar apoyo y ayudar de mejor forma a sus familiares ,Principalmente la acción activa de los padres o personas que estén al cuidado de las personas con discapacidad es fundamental y estratégica siendo ellos el soporte emocional en todos los aspectos relacionados con la intervención y medidas dirigidas a estimular en forma integral el desarrollo de los potenciales residuales, una terapia exitosa no solo se debe a los métodos y técnicas sino fundamentalmente depende de cuánto está comprometida la familia e integrar las terapias a un nuevo estilo de vida, comprometidos y involucrados integralmente en la mejora de la persona discapacitada utilizando diferentes canales de comunicación como el auditivo, visual, olfativo, contacto físico, etc.
